Models Taking Runway Selfies May Be the Most Narcissistic Thing Ever

Posted: 27 Sep 2015 07:33 AM PDT

Runway modeling and taking selfies. Both are things that you might do if you feel self-confident. Fashion house Dolce & Gabbana has managed to combine them to create what may be the most narcissistic thing ever: models taking selfies on the runway.

That’s right, models at Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2016 Women’s Fashion Show on Sunday busted out smartphones to take selfies while modeling. The photos were then posted real-time to the designer’s Instagram account where they quickly racked up tens of thousands of likes. Narcissism sells, apparently.

Florida Woman Arrested for Harassing a Sea Turtle

A woman in Florida was arrested early Saturday for harassing sea turtles after a photo of her squatting over a turtle’s back went viral over the summer.

Stephanie Marie Moore of Melbourne, Fla. was arrested for allegedly molesting a “marine turtle or eggs nest,” First Coast News, a Florida NBC affiliate, reported Saturday. The police discovered Moore while responding to a call about a domestic disturbance.

“During the course of this investigation, officers encountered a subject with an active felony warrant,” the Melbourne Police Department posted on Facebook, along with a photo allegedly showing Moore hunched over a sea turtle. Moore was taken to Brevard County Jail, where her bond was set at $2000.

The Marine Turtle Protection Act makes it a third-degree felony to injure, harm, harass, capture or attempt to capture any marine turtles, eggs or nests, according to FCN.
