Watch This Dad and His Kids’ Hilarious Katy Perry Dance Routine

Posted: 28 Sep 2015 09:16 AM PDT

When mom is away, dad will…perform an epic dance to Katy Perry’s “E.T.” At least that’s what this dad did when he walked in on his kids jamming out to the song.

The video starts with a little girl waving her pom-poms around to the music as her baby sibling sits in a bouncy seat. Dad enters the room carrying a laundry basket but quickly drops everything to join in on the fun. He busts out the robot and even incorporates the pom-poms into his routine, all while mouthing the lyrics to the song.

The video was posted on YouTube with a caption explaining that the footage was captured by a hidden camera that the kids’ mom set up so their grandma could see them doing cute things.

We think we can all agree that what she actually caught on tape is even better.

Watch Kevin Hart Annoy David Beckham in Every Possible Way

Posted: 28 Sep 2015 08:51 AM PDT

In a new ad for clothing brand H&M, actor Kevin Hart is preparing to play retired Manchester United soccer star David Beckham in a movie by shadowing the player. Naturally it does not take long for the comedian to get on the athlete’s nerves, especially when Beckham is woken up at 4:00 a.m. to find Hart in bed with him or when the actor starts screaming in pain while the two take an ice bath on a rooftop.

And the whole time, they are wearing outfits from H&M’s Modern Essentials Collection.

This Marching Band Will Make You Want to Stop and Do the ‘Nae Nae’ Right Now

Posted: 28 Sep 2015 08:05 AM PDT

Southern University’s football team may have gotten crushed 48-6 by the home University of Georgia squad during Saturday’s game at Sanford Stadium in Athens, but the Jaguars’ marching band received a standing ovation from the crowd for its halftime performance.

The band, better known as the Human Jukebox, has become so popular that the Bulldogs included an appearance by the group in the contract for the matchup, according to the NCAA.

Fans made sure to return to their seats early to see the nationally recognized routine, and the band delivered, playing hits such as Silentó’s “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” and orchestrating their signature move of spelling out the halftime score. The performance earned thunderous applause from the SEC home crowd.

The Human Jukebox has also performed at five Super Bowls and a presidential inauguration.

Keystone Light Is Using the Web’s Most Famous Taxidermist to Sell Beer

Posted: 28 Sep 2015 08:01 AM PDT

On Monday, Keystone Light released a commercial to promote hunting season featuring owner of Ojai Valley Taxidermy and YouTube celebrity, Chuck Testa, that encourages consumers to keep an eye out for a special white can hidden in select orange multipacks.

The ad is a mockumentary about the making of the ad. Testa comes across as the weirdest guy to work with because he uses the taxidermy animals as production assistants, in addition to talking to them as if they were humans. And as if that behavior is not strange enough, he hands out “goodbye” taxidermy squirrels to everyone on set.

Testa first went viral in 2011, after producing a purposefully corny spot for his business. Here is the original, which has racked up more than 16 million YouTube views to date:

Campers Flee in Panic as a Huge Sinkhole Swallows Tents and RV on Australian Beach

Posted: 27 Sep 2015 09:14 PM PDT

An enormous sinkhole opened up on a prime tourist beach in Australia over the weekend, swallowing an RV, a car, a trailer and some tents as vacationers fled in terror.

The 200 m by 50 m chasm suddenly appeared at Inskip Point on Queensland’s famed Fraser Island on Saturday evening, local media reports. Around 300 campers had to be evacuated from the area though no one was hurt.

“People were basically on the edge of it with their van, trying to madly get their vans out,” camper Sylvia Murray told ABC news.

“I thought we were goners for sure, was truly scary how fast it came into our camp site and swallowed it up,” Melanie Wotherspoon, another camper, wrote in a Facebook post, according to Brisbane tabloid newspaper, the Courier-Mail.

Sinkholes form when rocks are dissolved by water with acidic properties and can also be caused by earthquakes. Scientists are now using ground-penetrating radar technology to determine the exact cause of this particular phenomenon, ABC reports.

However, the Department of National Parks said in a statement Monday that the event may have been “a ‘near shore landslide’ rather than a true sinkhole.” The hole is now up to 9 m deep, the Courier-Mail reports.

According to geotechnical engineer Alison Golby, “There appears to be elements of a slip or slump failure here, rather than just a sinkhole-type behavior.”

“They [need to] do some analysis — use some geoscientific tools to test and see if there is a larger instability or a larger cavity underneath that area to know if it is going to get any bigger or not,” she told ABC.

Watch This Man Propose to His Girlfriend on a Roller Coaster

Posted: 27 Sep 2015 09:06 PM PDT

The Internet has seen some creative wedding proposals over the years, but this one might take the award for most adorable non sequitur.

Austin Crecelius decided to pop the question to girlfriend Allison Boyle while riding on the Voyage, a wooden roller coaster, at Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana.

“At one point in time you had mentioned to me that life is like a roller coaster,” Crecelius starts off his speech as the coaster mounts a steep hill. “And it’s got its up and downs, it’s got twists and turns, and it even throws you for a loop sometimes. And though you can go by yourself, it’s a lot more fun to go with another person.

“So I wanted to ask you if you wanted to be my roller coaster buddy,” he continued. “Allie will you marry me?”

Boyle responded by tearing up as the couple’s friends videotaped the entire moment in front of their coaster seat.

“I waited in line for 15 excruciating minutes nervously waiting to pop the question,” Crecelius told NBC News. “There was even one point in time where she asked me if I felt really hot because my face was red and I was sweating.”

In case you’re wondering, yes, Crecelius did bring the ring onto the coaster, but he luckily did not drop it!

Watch This Grandmother Scream Like a Tween When Mick Jagger Joins Taylor Swift on Stage

Posted: 27 Sep 2015 08:04 PM PDT

A 72-year-old grandmother had a lifelong dream come true at a Taylor Swift concert in Nashville on Saturday — she saw the Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger perform live on stage.

The fan bought tickets to Swift’s concert a year ago without any knowledge of the special guest, and nobody could have elicited a bigger reaction than Jagger. The grandmother missed a Stones concert earlier in the year because of health complications, according to the video’s description. She was, needless to say, ecstatic. In fact, the YouTube video of her pure joy made it all the way to Swift herself.

Jagger joined Swift on her 1989 tour to perform his 1965 hit, “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.” But Jagger wasn’t the only rock legend trading versus with Swift. Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler was a surprise guest at her Friday show and the pair sung, “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.”

Pope Francis Meets a Baby Pope

Posted: 27 Sep 2015 01:48 PM PDT

Forget Pope Francis – Pope Quinn is the new pontiff taking America by storm.

Daniel Madden and his wife Dana dressed up their baby daughter Quinn in faux papal regalia to attend the pope’s Saturday parade in Philadelphia – much to the religious leader’s delight.

In a video, shared by local news channel 6ABC Action News, baby Quinn is seen held into the air as Francis turned down the street in the popemobile.

The pontiff immediately spotted the baby, and appeared visibly amused by her getup. One of the papal security guards immediately swooped up Quinn and took her over to receive a kiss from the pontiff.

In the video, the guard can be heard telling the Maddens the pope commended their “great sense of humor.”

Pope Francis will end his six-day U.S. trip in the Pennsylvania city on Sunday.

His landmark visit included stops in both New York City and before that Washington D.C., with large parades and candid speeches covering things like climate change and reports of sexual abuse within the Catholic church.

Chelsea Clinton Celebrates Daughter’s Birthday with a Sweet Bedtime Photo

Posted: 27 Sep 2015 12:24 PM PDT

Chelsea Clintons daughter turned 1 on Saturday, and the proud mom marked the occasion with a bedtime story — and a rare photo of Charlotte!

“Last book for Charlotte before bedtime on her first birthday! Marc & I are so grateful every day to be her parents,” Clinton, 35, wrote on Facebook with the black-and-white image.

Publicly sharing her daughter’s photo before now “just hasn’t felt right,” Clinton told PEOPLE earlier this month.

“But,” she added then, “I have no doubt that, at some point, I might succumb to the ‘this is such a cute moment that I feel the need to share it more broadly’ impulse.”

In that same interview, Clinton, daughter of Bill and Hillary, told PEOPLE that she wants to teach her daughter about the world, while trying to shield her from undue scrutiny as a child.

“[I’m] focusing on how to ensure that Charlotte has every chance that I would hope for every child,” she said.“To develop her own dreams and identity and path, absent scrutiny and haranguing from the outside — and part of that is helping her understand what’s real and what’s just noise.”

After all, that’s part of what it means to grow up as a Clinton.

“I think another part of it is ensuring that she, from an early age, is engaged in what my grandmother called ‘expanding the circle of blessings,’ ” Clinton said. “You know, in the ways in which kids can engage — whether that’s in a food drive, in a clothing drive or volunteering in a soup kitchen.”
